Donkey and the washerman - Story of the month

Publised on:

Hello there, This week we have something exciting for you. We realised that as we grow older. We forget about those little stories that we read or our teachers, grandparents and parents would read to us, these stories would take us on a journey into a different world and would always end with an elite realisation. So we're going to reconnect with that aspect of our childhood today.

Before we begin, let’s understand why do we love stories? What is it about them that makes them so popular?

For thousands of years, humans have told stories, most likely since we first learned to talk. Storytelling, in its various forms, has become an essential component of the mental health movement because a tale may connect us to our history and culture, or even help us understand the correct and moral approach to solve issues.

Our story for today is going to be about the ‘’Donkey and the Washerman’’

Once there was a washerman, he had a donkey who assisted him with home chores. Although the washerman was unable to properly care for his donkey, he still dearly loved him. They resided in an area where there was little grass for the donkey to graze on, and the washerman did not have enough food to feed the donkey due to a lack of resources. As a result of not being able to obtain adequate food, the donkey had become thin and feeble over time. The washerman was concerned about his donkey's health, but he couldn't do anything about it.

The story teaches us that one cannot b

e happy for long by causing harm to others, and as the wise say, ‘'Do not pretend to be what you are not."

We can be anything we want to be, but we can't be anyone.

You can be a chef, a dancer, a scientist, an astronaut, or the President of India, but you must always be yourself.

It's difficult to force oneself to be someone you're not wired to be. Sometimes in life, we find ourselves in situations that force us to adapt and become someone we are not.

In times of crisis, we discover enough reason and incentive to transform ourselves into the individuals required to get the task done. However, this type of transition is typically unsustainable. It is conceivable to be someone you are not intended to be, but the chances for failure are limitless.

Pretending to be someone you're not for an extended period of time may cause you to lose sight of who you truly are, or who you once were. We hope you understand how important this is and embrace your true authentic self.
